PDF Documents

Many documents on the ACCEM website are in PDF format. PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format created by Adobe that lets anyone view and print a file exactly as the author designed it, without having the same application or fonts that were used to create it. Although they contain the complete formatting of the original document, including images, PDF files are highly compressed, allowing complex information to be downloaded efficiently. To display, navigate, or print these documents you need the free Acrobat Reader. PDF documents on the ACCEM website are indicated by a graphic icon: pdf graphic.

If you prefer to obtain the document in text or html format, online conversion tools are available at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html.

If you have problems viewing a PDF document on the ACCEM website:
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Save the file to your computer for viewing.
    • For Firefox or Netscape users, right-click on the link and select Save Link As or Save As from the pop-up menu.
    • For Internet Explorer users, right-click on the link and select Save Target As from the pop-up menu.
  • Be patient - some PDF documents are large files and may take longer to download/view than other online pages. Depending on your Internet connection download times will vary. Document size, listed in kilobytes at the end of the link, should help you gauge download times.
